After much speculation it is finally revealed who our villains will be in the next Batman installment (The Dark Knight Rises). The third film being directed by the brilliant Christopher Nolan has seen countless names attached to it. We have heard names of the who’s who in Hollywood such as: Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Johnny Depp, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Cher, Eddie Murphy, Rachel Weisz, Miley Cyrus, Shia
LaBeouf and Megan Fox. The huge success of The Dark Knight surely lead to the feeding frenzy of wanting to know who was going to be cast in what role but I have to tell you that I did not see this coming… Continue reading

The Green Hornet Trailer!

5 Oct

So I have seen the trailer for The Green Hornet and I have to say that even though my expectations were kinda low on this one I was pleasantly surprised. This movie might actually turn out to be rather entertaining. When I first heard Seth Rogen was cast to play Britt Reid, a newspaper publisher by day who goes out in his masked “Green Hornet” identity at night to fight crime as a vigilante , accompanied by his similarly masked Asian manservant Kato (played by Jay Chou) I thought to myself “YEAH RIGHT!!!” Continue reading

Movie Review: Devil

26 Sep

Ok, so Friday night I decided to go check out the movie Devil with a couple of my friends despite the Shyamalan name being attached to this movie and I am actually happy I did because surprisingly Devil turned out to be a suspenseful, entertaining and at times quite frightening film. I can honestly say it is Shyamalan’s best in a while! Who knew all he needed to do was not direct or write the movie himself but give someone else a concept let them write it and then find someone to direct the film. Why didn’t he think of this soultion sooner? Continue reading

With video game to movie adaptations coming out of the wood work there is no surprise in hearing all the chatter about the hit Rockstar game Red Dead Redemption may be coming to a theatre near you. I just never would have thought a star with such a big name would be attached to it. Brad Pitt may have been tapped to play the gritty lead character John Marston! Continue reading

Classic Movies That Should NEVER Be Remade!

6 Aug

Hollywood has a bad habit of rehashing old classics to disastrous results. We have Planet of The Apes, Psycho, The Longest Yard and who can forget the horrific epic fail that was Clash of the Titans. These are prime examples of “if it ain’t broke don’t try to fix it” motto. Remaking a film is not easy and should be avoided unless it is in the worthy hands of someone who understood why the original is a classic in the first place. There has to be a legitimate reason for an update. Plus the update needs to be adding something to the original without completely losing the essence of the original. I know it is hard to keep up but this is the criteria I have set for all the people thinking of remaking some of the classics we know and love. These films are called “CLASSICS” for a reason Mr. Hollywood Exec that thinks he is the next damn Ari Gold! So here is my list of the top films that SHOULD NEVER be remade! (in no particular order) Continue reading

I want to see Quentin Tarantino’s Natural Born Killers

20 Jul

I recently watched Natural Born Killers today. There was nothing on cable and the dvd was staring at me on the shelf so I popped it in to watch. Now this movie is one of my favorite films by Oliver Stone and I have always been entertained by the over the top characters Mickey and Mallory Knox. But I have to admit that I have always and still want to see Quentin Tarantino‘s original vision for this movie. Continue reading
